Former political journalist now helping clients to tell their story
I am one of the Managing Partners and helped set up 56° North in 2020.
My role involves running the day-to-day business as well as working with a number of our fabulous clients.
My background is in journalism covering politics and business, working on a number of newspapers including the Sunday Times, Scotsman, Daily Record as well as being a founding editor of the short-lived but well thought of Scottish daily business title, Business am.
I joined Lloyds Banking Group to run their comms team for Insurance and Scotland just after the banking crisis of 2008 before setting off on my own ten years later. I am still passionate about writing and can be occasionally found rambling on about football in the pages of the rather excellent Nutmeg magazine.
And… Back in the mists of time, I won two episodes of a popular daytime ITV quiz show called Winner Takes All. I am still trying to work out how to spend my enormous prize money of £585 and what to do with the multi-coloured cardigan I thought would be a good look for TV.
