Data geek in training who helps clients deliver creative and effective campaigns
56° North has a wide range of clients and as a result I’ve gained exposure to a huge variety sectors, from transport and energy to financial and public services. My specialities include helping clients with media relations and generating creative campaign collateral as well as ensuring they’re kept up to date with relevant political developments.
Being the lead coordinator on our Understanding Business project has also been a great experience and has involved everything from determining the scope of the project to organising events and creating promotional media assets. Developing my filming and editing skills for the Understanding Business events has been a particular highlight.
I’m also involved in building out our data visualisation capabilities, with the aim of creating more engaging visual narratives – watch this space!
Before joining 56° North full-time, I was at… 56° North! In the summer before my final year of university I was an intern with the company and when a full-time position became available I jumped at the opportunity. Since joining, I’ve been promoted from associate to senior consultant and worked across a large range of clients.
During my time at university, where I obtained a First in Economics and Geography, I was actively involved in multiple extra-curricular and volunteering activities. I learnt the most – including how to tie a bow tie – during my time as Honorary Secretary of the Glasgow University Union. I was responsible for the smooth running of day to day operations as well as the organisation of major student events, including Freshers’ Week.
And… Aged 11, I won Player’s Player of the Year for my role as a stellar defender and team player for Duffield Dynamos FC. It remains my proudest achievement.
