Dominique Mitchell

Consultant

Dominique is a results-driven consultant with diverse international experience, specialising in strategic communication.

As a consultant, I support our diverse range of clients to successfully deliver their objectives whether that’s growing their business, enhancing their reputation, or influencing positive change.

Every day is different at 56° North but normally my day-to-day can involve drafting compelling campaign messaging, conducting political monitoring and media analysis, designing targeted stakeholder engagement strategies, leading event co-ordination, and analysing policy developments for clients, as well as providing creative support with our Understanding Business quarterly report.

I am also the Communications lead for Women in Public Affairs Scotland, helping to shape public affairs work and practices across the country.

Prior to joining the team, I gained a variety of experience across different industries. I have worked for international law firms in the US and Mexico, as well as in luxury travel and real estate in the Caribbean and Asia. In the UK, I have worked with charities, political candidates and for the civil service. Most recently, I worked for the Home Office assisting with numerous national crises across the UK. My previous experience continues to inform how I can best support the team and our clients as challenges arise.

And… I auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent when I was 10. Why did no one tell me I couldn’t sing?!
